To kick off the new year, the distinct tartan or checkered pattern is back in full swing.
It offers (interior) designers a wide range of design options to choose from in terms of color and pattern.
At Carus, we’ve used it to create a theme with earthy, warm tones.
It can be both classic as well as daring, and is much more than just a winter design.

WELL PLAID

Due to its intersecting horizontals and verticals, the basic tartan structure offers a great amount of freedom to designers and makes it a floor pattern that is suitable for almost any space. It can be used with its familiar checkers structure alternating between colors, but it can also be combined with more abstract elements to give the floor a distinct 21st century touch.
